We are pleased to share that our latest research has been published in ChemistrySelect journal. https://chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/slct.202502625 This work systematically investigates the molecular interaction between Naringenin (a bioactive flavonoid with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer potential) and Functionalised Graphene (FG) materials with varying oxygen content and morphology. 🔹 Photoluminescence spectroscopy revealing dual emission bands (enol & keto tautomers of Naringenin) with progressive quenching upon FG addition 🔹 Static quenching mechanism via stable complex formation 🔹 Modified Stern–Volmer analysis showing binding constants (0.01–0.03) and binding site numbers (1–2) 🔹 Influence of FG surface chemistry, stacking order, and functional group density on Naringenin aggregation behavior 🔹 Theoretical modeling indicating π–π stacking and hydrogen bonding (interaction distance ~0.33 nm) as key stabilizing forces 🔹 Establishing FG as an efficient carrier for Naringenin with potential applications in drug delivery, biosensing, and nanomedicine
